“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”
My take is that there is a little magic in everything if you look hard enough.
The way our bodies work (or don't).
The way the full moon makes you feel.
A bed of moss.
Taking a nibble of a lilac or rose petal.
The way the trees smell when they thaw in the spring under the warm sun and the way the forest comes back to life.
The way seeds germinate.
The life cycle.
I marvel at the ages of wisdom and folk knowledge behind herbs and flowers and the science that backs it up.
As I get older I try to take stock of the little moments of magic happening around me each day, to find these little pockets of joy where time slows down and just live in that moment for as long as I can and channel it into my inspiration for Apothecandy.
A lot of intention goes into everything I create and my goal is to create a magical moment for everyone who uses one of my creations. The aesthetic and aromas are carefully crafted to transport the user to a memory or feeling. To create a spark of magic in their lives.
I hope I can do that for all of us.
