Sometimes it seems like reducing your plastic use and waste can seem like an insurmountable task, but it doesn't have to be everything all at once. I am all about small functional changes in my ongoing quest to make environmentally friendly choices. one bite at a time.
For this I teamed up with my amazing friend Megan from Wild Woods Pottery. I know nothing about pottery, so I was amazed to learn that she is able to take pieces that break or don't work out and soak them and create new items from that clay. It got my brain thinking about taking waste clay and using it to create a useful vessel for a zero waste dishwashing solution. When I came to her with the idea she jumped on board had the PERFECT stoneware ramekins made up for me right away.
These beautiful handmade ramekins are glazed in either tourmaline blue or a natural speckled white colour and can be washed and reused with one of our refill pucks or live a new life as something else. (I love a handy little bowl for making charcuterie boards for snacking).
The dish soap contains no artificial colours or fragrances and is septic safe, there are no bleaches, plastics, or surfactants, just beautiful sudsy bubbles scented with an essential oil blend of rosemary, lemongrass, and sweet orange.
Perfect for the cabin or camper!
How to use your solid dish soap:
Simply fill your dishwashing vessel or sink with some warm water, wet any dish brush or cloth and rub it onto the solid dish soap, you will create and pick up lots of lovely bubbles to wash your dishes with.
Rinse and dry as usual!

What a absolutely amazing product.
I was not 100% sure if i was going to like using a solid dish soap vs a liquid. but this product, has made me convert! The smell is intoxicating. It is so nice to be doing the dishes and having such a pleasant smell. It cleans really well. No residue left over. I do have to rinse my glassware a bit more because of spots. Due to it being handmade soap with no rinse aids being added to it, it is understandable and doesn't make me give it a lower rating. One of my concerns was how long it would last. But this bar has lasted me over a month now. The dish it comes in, is perfect. It does not take up a lot of real estate. It is just the right size.
Honestly i just love this soap, and it will be a constant on my counter.
Thanks for making such an amazing product!!!!
I really like the solid dish soap - the scent is lovely, not too overpowering. The stoneware pottery solid dish soap holder is perfect! Thanks for such good service and excellent product.

This dish soap is convenient to have by the kitchen sink. It foams well and appears to be extremely economical. More importantly it works effectively for all my kitchen needs.
This is my favourite way to wash dishes! I stuff my dishwasher with as much as I can and then I use this beautiful, lovely-smelling, easy on the hands, heavenly soap and adorable brush to get the plastic lids, wood-handled objects and reusable bags that don’t like the dishwasher clean. Plus, I can gaze at the beautiful piece of pottery/art as I wash and just feel good all around. If you’ve ever used a leaky, sponge on a plastic wand-stick filled with electric blue dish soap, Apothecandys pottery/soap/brush combo is FAR SUPERIOR. It doesn’t leak, it’s REUSABLE (what does happen to those wands?), and the soap is so wonderful. And the price? Amazing! I have bought this for all my favourite people as gifts!
